Abstract

The GRAMMATICAL POEMS have special place in Arabic literature and teaching grammar (nahw). The most famous of these poms is the Alfiyya of Ibn Malik (d.672/1274).Before Ibn Malik the GRAMMATICAL POEMS of Yashkori (d.370/980), Hariri (d.576/1122) and Ibn Mo‘ti (d.628/1230) were known.They composed their didactic poems on Arabic grammar. But the first tical poem was for KHALIL IBN AHMAD (d.170/786) about 293 lines. This paper explains the attributions of that.
