Abstract

The feeling of security is a prerequisite for any social, economic, cultural and political development, and is linked to the level of advancement of societies. Knowledge of the role and the number of factors affecting the security of the residents of a community has an effective role in identifying the challenges and strategies of developing a community and in order to strengthen its infrastructure. The purpose of this study was to investigate the role of Mental health, Positive emotions and Life expectancy in predicting the social safety of women. This study was a descriptive and cross-sectional study. In a multi-stage sampling method, a sample of 120 women was selected from the visitors to the cultural centers of Tehran. General Health Questionnaire, Positive and Negative Emotion Scale, Adult Hope Questionnaire and Social security Sensitivity Questionnaire were used to collect data. Data were analyzed using stepwise regression analysis. The findings showed that general health, depression, Positive emotions and Life expectancy have a significant relationship with Social security. These variables predicted 50% of Social security variance, and Positive emotions had the greatest role in predicting Social security. There was a positive and significant relationship between Positive emotions and Life expectancy with Social security. The results indicated that it was important to pay attention to general health variables, depression, Positive emotions and Life expectancy in women's Social security prediction. Therefore, attention to these variables plays a crucial role in predicting Social security.
