Executive Performance of Honorary Police in the field of Community and Temporal Crime Prevention (Case Study: West of Tehran Province)

Abstract

 Background and Aim: The Islamic Republic of Iran Police (IRI Police), in order to provide human resources and to take advantage of public Participation in the consolidation and development of social order and security, has recruited a number of people interested in voluntary cooperation in the form of Honorary. The present study aimed to evaluate the Executive Performance of the Police/fa?page=1&sort=1&ftyp=all&fgrp=all&fyrs=all" target="_blank">Honorary Police in the West-Tehran Special Police Command. Methodology: This applied study followed a survey method. The population of the study included employees working in the West-Tehran Special Police Command, 264 persons were selected as the sample size using stratified random sampling. Data gathered through a questionnaire which was confirmed by face validity (expert judgments), and Cronbach’ s alpha coefficient (0. 966). Analyzes were based on one-sample t-test and ANOVA using SPSS software. Results: A review of the Executive Performance of the Police/fa?page=1&sort=1&ftyp=all&fgrp=all&fyrs=all" target="_blank">Honorary Police in the West-Tehran Special Police Command showed that the mean of all dimensions, except for “ public information” with a mean of 3. 54, were lower than the mean (3). Therefore, the Executive Performance of the Police/fa?page=1&sort=1&ftyp=all&fgrp=all&fyrs=all" target="_blank">Honorary Police in the West-Tehran Special Police Command had been moderately low in terms of statistical population (Staff of Police Station) and the means of the provincial districts were also different. Conclusion: The results showed that although, in general, the West-Tehran Special Police Command has made considerable efforts in identifying and recruiting Police/fa?page=1&sort=1&ftyp=all&fgrp=all&fyrs=all" target="_blank">Honorary Police forces at provincial level, the Executive Performance of these Police forces has been moderately low. It might be because of newly recruitment process of employing Police/fa?page=1&sort=1&ftyp=all&fgrp=all&fyrs=all" target="_blank">Honorary Police members in this province.
