Abstract

This Present paper has been written in two sections.The first section is trying to refer to plato's works especially the "Phaedrus dialogue", and make it clear that his purpose by reminiscence theory is reminding the divine ideas and transcendental realities through seeing things as the symbols. In the second section the spiritual role of art from the viewpoint of the great members of contemporary traditionalists such as Rene Guenon, F.Schuon, and Titus Burkhart is studied. And finally as a conclusion the role of Plato's THEORY OF REMINISCENCE in explaining the spirtitual role of art from the viewpoint of traditionalists is clarified.
