Abstract

The present study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of teaching of Psychological capital on the Organizational citizenship behavior among Female teachers of Behbahan elementary schools. The research was quasiexperimental with pretest-posttest design and control group. The study is applied in terms of study purpose. Statistical population included Female teachers in Behbahan elementary schools. 60 people were selected using random sampling method and were randomly assigned into two groups of 30. Based on random sampling one groups was selected as experiment at group and another group as control group. After defining experiment and control groups, Organizational citizenship behavior questionnaire was answered by two groups. The experimental group received Psychological capital training for elven sessions(1 hour). After training the experimental group, post-test of citizenship behavior was distributed for two groups again. For data analysis some descriptive statistics, suchas mean and standard deviation indices were calculated and in inferential statistics, independent t-test and dependent test and covariance analysis were applied. The data analysis showed that Psychological capital training was effective on the Organizational citizenship behavior of Female teachers of elementary schools of Behbahan city.
