Abstract

The present study investigated the relationship between the SELF-ESTEEM and NEED FOR ACHIEVEMENT of female teachers of physical education in Bonab city. The design of the study was sectional survey. The research population consisted of female physical education teachers at different levels of education in Bonab, among whom 40 ones were selected as the sample of the study. The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between the SELF-ESTEEM and NEED FOR ACHIEVEMENT and its four sub-dimensions (responsibility, COMPETING, HARDWORKing and GOAL-oriented) and different levels of the variables in different age groups as well as between the married and single teachers. Data in the present study, were collected by the SELF-ESTEEM and need for achievement Questionnaires. The collected data were analyzed by SPSS software. The results showed that there was a direct significant relationship between the SELF-ESTEEM and NEED FOR ACHIEVEMENT and accountability aspects including: COMPETING, HARDWORKing of female physical education teachers in Bonabcity. There was also a significant difference among the self-steem of different age groups as well as between the single and married Female teachers of physical education.
