Abstract

This research was conducted to compare the personality traits (A and B behavior and SENSATION SEEKING) in men and women offender drivers. The research method was a causal- comparative. The sample in this study consists of 157 participants (100 men and 57 women offending drivers). They were selected by using accessible sampling method. The data were analyzed based on the Chi-Square Test and the multivariate analyses of variance-one way. The results revealed that there was a significant difference between men and women offending drivres in a behavior. In addition, the results indicated that there was a significant difference between men and women offending drivers in SENSATION SEEKING, Adventure Seeking, Experience Seeking, Disinhibition and Boredom Susceptibility; i.e., women offending drivers reported high levels in this regarel. Also the results indicated that personality types played an important role in DRIVING violation.
