Abstract

The purpose of the present study was to compare the maladaptive schemas in the anxious and non-anxious female students of Tabriz Islamic Azad University. The design of this study was a causative and comparative one. The sample of the study included 35 anxious and 35 non-anxious students who had come to the consulting center of the Tabriz Islamic Azad University. Because of the limited number of the population, the convenient sampling was used. For collecting of the data the Young’ s maladaptive schemas questionnaire and Beck’ s Anxiety questionnaire were used. The data were analyzed by SPSS through an independent samples t-test. The results indicated that there is a significant difference between the early maladaptive schemas of anxious and non-anxious students.
