Abstract

Nowdays sociologists pay MOR attention to juvenile delinquency as a social problem. Behavioural deviation committed by high school students are of great importance. Generally speaking, there are students who do not observe social values and norms and accordingly the main objective of this study is to determine the influential factors on the behavioural deviation of high school students. To gain this objective the researcher has employed the causal-comparative method. High school boys studying in karmanshah served as the total population whom were randomly selected. Cochran’ s formula was used to select the sample. Via a questionnaire the necessary data was collected from the to two groups. Frequency and frequency percentile was used for description, chi-square statistic was used for variables meaningful relation and cramer coefficient was used for measuring cosent. From among the six hypotheses, three of them were accepted. The logistic regression was used for prediction. The results of the analyses showed that with the increasing of the parents’ control and observation, the family congruency, strong emotional relationship between the parents and children, encouraging the children to observe the law in the process of socialization has increased. With the decrease of any one of the mentioned variables we notice delinquent behaviors in the juveniles.
