Abstract

The present study examined the relationship between RELIGIOSITY and LIFE SATISFACTION and HAPPINESS among the female secondary school STUDENTS. For this purpose, 200 STUDENTS of the second and third grades of high school as well as the college STUDENTS of Sojasrud in Zanjan Province were selected by random single-stage cluster sampling method and evaluated by the religion, LIFE SATISFACTION and HAPPINESS questionnaire. The test results showed that between RELIGIOSITY and LIFE SATISFACTION, and between RELIGIOSITY and HAPPINESS, there is a significant positive correlation at the confidence leved of p>0.05. In other words, the higher the score of people’s RELIGIOSITY, the greater their LIFE SATISFACTION and HAPPINESS. The results of regression analysis indicated that the components of religious belief and religious emotions were significant predictors of LIFE SATISFACTION and HAPPINESS. Also, the results showed that the component of religious commitment has no significant relationship with LIFE SATISFACTION.
