Abstract

All media are engaging the contents of our thoughts, and their presence in our life is personally, politically, economically, aesthetically, psychologically, morally and socially so extensive that we can’t be away from the contact, affectability, and change they appear. Nowadays, many technologies such as satellite, phone, computer, radio and TV have provided for us to communicate with other people throughout the country electronically in spite of group and geographical separations. In the present time called Age of Modern Information and Technologies, the media includes TV, internet, satellite TVs and global media. Using their applications and new information methods, they enter to communities the modern cultural and social Patterns replacing the traditional cultural Patterns and values, and operating as factors of conversion and transformation in cultural values, formalities and Patterns in the societies. In this research, we try the comparative study and analysis of content of Patterns and values shown in series: Afsaneh Afsoungar, broadcasted in Persian 1, and Jerahat, broadcasted in Channel 3 in terms of cultural, personal, social, ethical and family aspects and elements. In order to attain such goals, content analysis method and inverse questionnaire technique was used. A proper and generable sample was selected among parts of the story of mermaid with systematic random sampling method. It should be noted that all parts of Jarahat serial were completely investigated. The results show that: In serial of the story of mermaid, good relations patterns of family members, positive moral features of character, job - professional features of women, legal values and cultural values have been shown more than Jarahat Serial.
