Abstract

This paper discusses the impact of education on students’ CULTURAL SELF BELIEF (a random study from SOCIAL SCIENCE field).The primary objective of this research is to investigate the effect of studying SOCIAL SCIENCEs on the CULTURAL SELF BELIEF of students.The frame work of this research is based on the theories of Emile Durkheim and Talcott Parsons. The research method used is of a survey type by collecting the opinion of students of the field through a questionnaire. The statistical group consisted of M.A students studying SOCIAL SCIENCEs at Azad university-Tehran central unit.The findings indicate that increasing the knowledge and understanding of students about their national CULTURE and scholars as well as adoption of religious and CULTURAL VALUES by students would increase their self belief. It was also concluded that no relation can be established between students’ gender and his/her self belief. There was also no relation between students’ field of study and students’ CULTURAL SELF BELIEF.
