Relationship Emotion regulation and locus of control with the Cognitive Self-Control of drug-dependent individuals

Abstract

 bondage risk of addiction or drug of the matter is, the species that gives him both physically and psychologically dependent on individual and social behavior undermines all this. The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between Emotion regulation and Cognitive Self-control source was drug-dependent individuals. This descriptive study was correlational. Anyone with a Drug addiction treatment center in the second half of 1393 to visit the city famenin treated, formed the study population. A total of 110 subjects selected by simple random sampling method and then to questionnaires Emotion regulation, Locus of control and self-reported Cognitive response. Data obtained by using Pearson correlation and multiple regression analysis using spss software (version 16) were analyzed. The results showed that negative Emotion regulation and Cognitive control with external Locus of control components associated with the negative and positive components of emotional regulation and internal Locus of control had a positive relationship. These results have important implications in the pathology of substance abuse. Accordingly, clinicians can-can prohibit Emotion regulation strategies and internal controls to deal with substance abuse use.
