Abstract

The aim of the present study is to study and determine the degree of INFORMATION LITERACY of the senior undergraduate STUDENTS of Dezfoul branch of PAYAM-E NOOR UNIVERSITY in different disciplines. For this purpose, a sample of 306 individuals was selected in the 10 available disciplines. A questionnaire devised on the basis of IL standards consisting of 60 items was distributed in the sample population. The collected data was analyzed by means of some descriptive methods of statistics such as frequency tables and calculation of Mean, and some analytical methods such as Chi-square. As a result of the study both hypotheses of the study were approved. Results of the study also revealed that the INFORMATION LITERACY of the target STUDENTS is fairly low. It was also clear that there was a significant difference between the level of IL in the STUDENTS of different branches of study.
