Cognitive Skills Critical Thinking in Social Networking Users (Case Study Social Telegram Network)

Abstract

 The purpose of this study was to examine the Cognitive Skills of social network users in the social network of telegrams. The present study was applied in a descriptive-survey method. The statistical population of this study is Telegram network users with a bachelor's degree and above. Simple random sampling method and sample number of 550 users. To collect the data, a questionnaire was used that contained 24 questions from a researcher developed by Cognitive Critical Thinking Skills. We used SPSS / 21 software to analyze the data in two levels of descriptive and inferential statistics. The results showed that the mean Cognitive Skills among men were higher than that of women, and the average of six Cognitive Skills of Critical Thinking among users was different. The findings also showed that there was a significant difference between the level of education of users and the use of the telegram network using the Cognitive Skills of Critical Thinking. In addition, according to the regression test, the variable of education has a positive and variable effect on the use of the social network of telegrams, which has a negative effect on the Cognitive Skills of users' Critical Thinking.
