Abstract

TOURISM is regarded as a kind of industry in this century and t global economy is the driving force of this industry. This emerging industry has its own unique impact on other industries. A lot of professionals try to develop TOURISM in rural areas to save the villages from poverty. The first step in the development of rural TOURISM is to identify the obstacles and challenges. The aim of this study was to identify the factors affecting the development of rural TOURISM Yas-e Chay is a village which was used for the purpose of the study using SWOT. The study is a descriptive one in which the obtained data from interviews and questionnaires were used. The results of this study showed the lack of factors like publicity, adequate facilities; health care and funding for TOURISM development are important ones which have all weakened the TOURISM development in Yas-e Chay village.
