Of the important factors that affect tourism are welfare and human health. Therefore, climate is an important part of the environment which is displayed in the form of recreation and tourism. The purpose of this study was to identify areas of Ardabil Province which are appropriate to be selected as tourism centers using bioclimatic and GIS. Data from such studies, daily mean temperature, minimum monthly mean temperature, maximum monthly mean temperature, average temperature, the average drying temperature, dew point, relative humidity and wind speed of sixteen stations from 1370 to 1390 were chosen. Using bioclimatic techniques, thermal comfort index, effective temperature indicator, and Baker Mysnard indicator, indexed data were analyzed and maps in GIS environment of comfort temperature for the month were prepared. The findings suggest that favorable weather plays an important role in attracting tourists to the province of Ardabil. For most tourists in central and west of the province (cities of Ardebil, Meshkinshahr, Naien, Nir and Sarein) in June, July, August and September, as well as those in the northern part of the province (cities of Parsabad, Bilesuar and germi) in May, June, October and November in the southern part of the province (cities of Kalkal and Kosar) in June, July, August, September and October, the weather is favorable regarding the level of standard welfare in the region.
