Abstract

Isfahan province due to geographical conditions, attractive natural scenery, history, suitable climate, and abundant water resources is considered as one of the main tourist attractions of Iran. In this study, EET bioclimatic index was applied to determine the boundaries of time and place for recreation and WATER SPORTS during the warm season of the year in the province. The results of EET index showed that the optimum conditions are available for the use of water resources, rivers and lakes for recreation and WATER SPORTS during summer in most areas of the province. The stations of Naeen, Ardestan, Natanz, Daran, Golpaygan, ISFAHAN, Kabotar Abad, ISFAHAN and Shahr Reza with 184 days and Biabanak Stations with 92 days have a minimum number of days allocated for making use of water resources. All the station locations have a peak time of TOURISM during summer. From April to May, the suitable condition is gradually rising and during the June, July and August we can witness the peak of TOURISM and WATER SPORTS; thereafter the temperature decreases gradually and the condition becomes less suitable. During the summer with increasing temperature, high-land area conditions are more favorable than those of the lowland ones.
