Abstract

Lordegan area has comparative advantages for the benefit of the environment and tourism. The aim of this study was to identify tourism potentials, attractions and problems in Lordegan area using SWOT MODEL and to provide strategies for tourism development and promotion of economic, social, cultural and physical issues in this area. Data collection was done using documentary and field studies. Applied researches, as well as descriptive and analytical methods were used to analyze the data. The result of research shows that the tourism sector in Lordegan has great potential to attract tourists who are involved in the development of this county. The county has a lot of potentials; however, it couldn’t attract tourists and if attracted, they were not able to maintain their interest. This is due to the city' s tourism facilities. Research of developing tourism industry in this county suggests issues such as scientific planning, investments, restructuring tourism potentials and attractions in this county through public and private investments for tourism development in the county and also economic, social, cultural and physical development in the county and thus approaching SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT.
