Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify the capabilities and potentiality of TOURISM of YASUJ and also to analyze the strengths, weaknesses and to identify threats that are associated with the city's tourist attractions. The study also tries to turn this crisis into an appropriate opportunity for TOURISM development and to provide strategies for strengthening the urban sustainable development. Methods used in the study were based on survey, descriptive and content analysis. The findings indicated that the city cannot use its available potentials in the areas under the study, nor it can take steps for development in spite of having many attractions and opportunities to strengthen these areas to attract tourists. It is suggested that there are not good management to consider the future of the city. As a result, this study suggests some possible solutions for the sustainable development of TOURISM in this city.
