Abstract

Aim and Background: CYSTIC HYGROMA is a congenital malformation of the lymphatic system in which obstruction between the lymphatic and venous pathway in fetal neck leads to lymph accumulation in the jugular sac of nuchal region.Case report: A 8- years- old infant with a huge anterior cervical mass is presented. He became candidate for tumor excision under GENERAL ANESTHESIA as the mass did not regress after pharmacologic management and intra- tumoral injection. The patient was first examined under direct LARYNGOSCOPY, being awake; then inhalational induction with Sevoflurane was used. At last and after extubation at the end of surgery, he was transferred to intensive care unit with stable condition and awake.
