Abstract

An epidemiologic survey was carried out to determine the prevalence as well as ETIOLOGY, side effects and COMPLICATIONs associated with management of oral and maxillofacial TRAUMA cases referred, to taleghani General Hospital during 1995. A total of 1698 patients case notes were evaluated both male and female. Results indicated that the proportion of males to females being at 74.5 to 25.5. The average age was 21.2±14.2. The most usual causes of TRAUMA were Violence and Car accident in men, while fall, Violence and Car accident were respectively more frequent as the cause in women.
