Abstract

Aim: The purpose of this study was to determine the prevalence of AMELOBLASTOMA and its relationship to the age, sex, site of the TUMOR, modality of treatment and recurrence in a 10-year period.Materials and Methods: Patients who were referred to Taleghani Hospital, Tehran were selected for this investigation.Results: In total 50 lesions were detected. Most of the lesions were located in the mandible and multicystic type was the most frequent type. 2 cases were found to have had malignancy process. The rate of recurrence was 8% among all the reviewed cases.Conclusion: The type and extension of the lesions was different as well as the treatment which was varied from encleation to en-block resection.
