THE STUDY OF THE EFFECT OF CLIMATIC ELEMENTS ON URBAN ARCHITECTURE (CASE STUDY OF LALI CITY)

Abstract

Climate architecture is a field of knowledge that makes it possible to use climate elements in principled planning of buildings. In order to reach the aims of this research, a 24-year-old statistical period (1985-2009) of the synoptic station city of LALI in an analytical-descriptive manner, and LALIs building are studied based on experimental methods such as (Olgyay bioclimatic), in order to determine the range of warmth comfort round the clock. The most important elements of climate affecting LALI are known to be light, sunny hours temperature, and wind. Warmth comfort in LALI is reasonable during most of the nights, but in days warmth comfort is not suitable during most of the months. The most optimized direction of buildings is north-southward with east-west grading and with a yard built in a compact architecture. The space between the buildings is better to be more compact. Small sizes of windows are more suitable and the area of which is better be 1.5 to 5.5 percent of the area of the relevant facade. Windows are not of essence in the internal space in case of creation of draught. Buildings can be one-sided, that is they can connect to the outer space through only one side. Since during 5 months of the year the weather is fine an outside area should be considered to be used during nights or whenever the weather is nice outside the building. The inside and outside walls and roofs should be built from hevey materials in order for the delay time of the materials to be longer the 8 hours.
