Abstract

It is very important to study areas DEVELOPMENT status, capabilities and bottlenecks in regional planning. Today, awareness of strength and weakness parts in areas is necessary to state plans and programs. Identifying the various sectors of economic, social, cultural, infrastructure and ..., in areas is important since one of the major obstacles to DEVELOPMENT, the phenomenon of duality and non-existence of economic and social balance is in the region. This case provide a good field to state strategies, use appropriate programs, establish and create an integrated regional DEVELOPMENT and dependency analysis of human settlements in areas levels. This article is based on a descriptive - analysis approach and determine the degree of DEVELOPMENT of KHUZESTAN province, choose 25 urban DEVELOPMENT indicators by triturating, use FACTOR ANALYSIS to analyze the desired indicators, reduce them in the five factors and rank townships based on these five factors. Also three levels were identified by using CLUSTER ANALYSIS that the homogeneous townships placed in one level and together.
