Abstract

Rain is an Ahuric phenomenon in Iranian MYTH. It seems that the rise of this MYTH is caused by the weather conditions in the Iranian plateau. "Tistar", the MYTH of RAIN is mentioned in Avesta and most of the Middle-Persian texts but none of these texts have ever referred to Dadestan i Denig. The opinion of Manuchehr, the son of Jawan-Jam and the author of Dadestan i Denig on MYTH of RAIN and the role of "Tistar" is stated in this article.
