Abstract

SOCIAL CAPITAL is a quite new concept in the realm of sociology which rapidly has found its place in different fields of science such as medicine, psychology, economics, politics, urban planning, etc. SOCIAL CAPITAL has a close relationship with THE QUALITY OF LIFE and this relationship can be a gateway for the conception of SOCIAL CAPITAL toward urban planning. The aim of this study is measuring the relationship between SOCIAL CAPITAL with quality of life among SAGEZ inhabitants. The method of research is survey. This survey contains 69 questions, certified by some professors of sociology and its stability is based on pre-test method via Alpha kronbach (0.90). This survey covers samples of 382 inhabitants and SPSS has been used in order to elicit the results of the survey. The results show that there is a meaningful relationship (with confidence coefficient of 99 percent) between quality of life and SOCIAL CAPITAL, SOCIAL TRUST, SOCIAL INVOLVEMENT, SOCIAL NETWORK, participants’ income level, and participants’ education. Also, among variables that have been studied, SOCIAL TRUST with the highest correlation coefficient has increasing effect (r=0.559) on the quality of people lives.
