Abstract

 Aim: The aim of the present study was to examine the effect of training of ASSERTIVENESS PROGRAM on CRITICAL THINKING (creativity, development, commitment) second grade girl senior school STUDENTS in Khorramabad.Method: The method of the study was sup-experimental with design pretest - posttest and follow-up with the control group. The study population included all high school girl STUDENTS in the second grade, in Khorramabad’s public schools in academic year 1394-95. Sample size of 44 people (of 22 people in experiment group and 22 people in control group) using multi-stage random cluster were selected. In this study, the measuring tool, is the questionnaire of Ricketts’ CRITICAL THINKING (2003). The experimental group was ASSERTIVENESS PROGRAM training, after the training meetings, from both the experimental and control groups post-test and again two months later, both groups were followed up. The research was conducted by using SPSS-19 and descriptive and descriptive and inferential test run such as multivariate analyses.Findings: The results study showed that ASSERTIVENESS PROGRAM training (cognitive and meta- cognitive) the effect generally CRITICAL THINKING (P<0.001) and of its sub - components, on development and commitment (P<0.001) but had no effect in component creativity. While the results was preserved in the follow up Phase.Conclusion: ASSERTIVENESS PROGRAM training is to increase STUDENTS' CRITICAL THINKING.
