Abstract

Tourism industry has become one of the largest economical activities in the early 21th century and is considered as one of the hugest money making and job creating global industries. One of the most important elements in tourism industry is residential and recreational units. Tourist camps are considered as residential units which has been designed for all kinds of people. Finding an appropriate place for camping depends on the needed space and the ability to be reach the service regions easily and having tourist attractions. The Abyane village is a jewel among the places in the Esfahan province. It is visited by thousands of tourists every year due to its significant attractions. One of the most elementary necessities of this village is the need to strengthen the infrastructures of the tourism. For example, building short time residential camps. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to use the potentials of the ABYANEH VILLAGE to locate the best place for construction of a camp. The method of this research is descriptive-analytic, and has an applicable use. In this research it has been tried to use the ANALYTICAL HIERARCHY PROCESS (AHP) in GIS to locate the best camping sites. Therefore, the results of layer combination information of the Abyane village in three capable regions are investigated. Eventually, the Alef area, placed at the east side of the village, with 0.53 points has been modified as the best location for establishing a tourist camp.
