Abstract

Purpose: Examines compatibility of seven National libraries’ Performance indicators (PIs) against ISO 28118 standard. Methodology: The PIs of Library of Congress, National Library of Australia, National Diet Library, Library and Archives Canada, British Library, National Library of France, Swiss National Library, National Library of Spain were obtained by e-mail and grouped according to ISO 28118. Findings: The National libraries have developed more PIs with regard to accessibility to resources and services, digitalization, developing a national collection, accordingly. It seems that accessibility is even more important for them than their depository mandate. Conclustion: ISO 28118 standard is compatible with requirements of National libraries.
