Abstract

Purpose: the aim of this article was to investigate the impact of psycho-social training program on hostility feeling and friendly behaviors in urban bus drivers. Method: the current research was a semi-experimental with pre-posttest single-group design. The sample was available and included 209 drivers from Bus Drivers Corporation in Tehran. The subjects were randomly divided into four groups and received the required training. To collect the data, participants were asked to respond to the Scale of Friendly Behavior (Rizman, 1983) and Redford-Williams Hostility Inventory (Williams, 1998) before and after the training. Results: the findings showed that the intervention leads to increase the subscales of friendly behaviors and to reduce the hostility feeling, although the difference was not significant for hostility between pre-test and post-test scores. Conclusion: this training program could improve friendly behaviors but has no effect on hostility feeling.
