Abstract

with the expansion of communicational technologies and networks, the modern culture has expanded in the world. The process of GLOBALIZATION follows the unification of the world culture, but at the same time provide the possibility of making differences. The effects of this process over these years have caused deep qualitative and quantitative changes and could cause major cultural changes in the world with the help of mass MEDIA.This research is conducted by a descriptive and survey method with the help of a questionnaire technique. The most important indices of GLOBALIZATION effects on BODY MANAGEMENT received through MEDIA and communicational technologies are defined. The statistical population is all students of humanities department in Islamic Azad University science and research branch in Tehran and statistical sample consists of 275 individuals. After gathering the questionnaires, appropriate statistical analyses has been done by SPSS software. The results show that there is a direct and significant relationship between MEDIA GLOBALIZATION and communicational technologies through infusion of sender culture (acculturate the addressee), the extension of consumption culture, diversity and modernism, the GLOBALIZATION of western pop culture, the extension of individualism and self-education, learning from each other and teaching each other and BODY MANAGEMENT. The only failed hypothesis was the relationship between image making and BODY MANAGEMENT.
