Abstract

New social networks as a medium have an important role in creating an open and wide sphere for its users especially women. The methods used in this research include methods of documentation, field study and survey. The data collection is executed by observation, interviews and questionnaires analysis techniques. The statistical population is female students at University of Tehran in faculty of social sciences and the Islamic Azad University, Science and Research branch. The theoretical framework of this study is a compilation of Habermas's public sphere and communicative action theories, computer communication interface, use and satisfaction. The results of data analysis indicates a change in user individual, emotional, family and social behavior under the influence of the and the use of social networks, as well as the type of user activity in this space. Also the type of user activity in this space has a role in communication understanding. This means that users using a common language and concepts could discuss in this space and follow their communication purposes. In this study, the hypothesis of increased skills, from the hypothesis of personal and social characteristics and the role of education in changing behavior are confirmed. Finally, according to the results, strategies such as idea shift in planners and government officials to limit the space and take advantage of new social networks, eliminating the negative attitude of toward the network users, set up local sites similar to FACEBOOK in Iran with the same charm and functionality, youth public education and their families, etc. are provided.
