Abstract

Gorge Simmel is one of the most abstruse classical sociologists who like all other sociologists has entered the realm of RELIGION and reviewed it within his own invented sociological framework of FORM and Content. Based on his reconstructed Neo-Kant theory of FORM and Content, Simmel interprets FORM as OBJECT and Content as SUBJECT, showing the DIALECTICal conversion of OBJECTs to SUBJECTs and SUBJECT to OBJECTs. That RELIGIOSITY has a concept independent of RELIGION, that RELIGIOSITY had existed before RELIGIONs come exist and that RELIGIOSITY will continue to exist even if RELIGIONs stop to exist are among the issues that have put Simmel in a position opposite to that of other thinkers. This research by reviewing Georg Simmel's works on RELIGION and RELIGIOSITY and making a comparison with reasoning of other sociologists of his time seeks to answer the following questions: ·Which is the ration between RELIGION and RELIGIOSITY in Georg Simmel's FORMal sociology.·Can RELIGION a RELIGIOSITY cause a DIALECTICal shift from FORM to Content and from Content to FORM.·Can RELIGIOSITY have an independent identity apart from RELIGION.·Is RELIGION a factual truth or Mental constructed.
