Abstract

Justice seeking has always been a favorite subject for many social thinkers and reformists. One of main developments that claim to defend the rights of women has been FEMINISM. This tendency in Iran has shown up in the form of Islamic FEMINISM. The present article is to take a critical look at it and make an analysis of it. This endeavor is taken place within a survey research among the FEMALE STUDENTS of the Jahad Danenshgahi Higher Education Institute in the city of Yazd. The findings indicate that the FEMALE STUDENTS of that Institute have favorable attitude toward one of the four dimension of the Islamic FEMINISM, which is the equal right of men and women. They have negative attitude concerning the other three dimensions of that social thought. Furthermore, the students have negative evaluation of some other minor indicators of Islamic FEMINISM: among which equal cooperation of men and women in the affair of children, and the lack of enough opportunities for females in the society.
