Title

THE SYNTHESIS OF 3-(4-CLORO PHENYL)-4-BROMO-HYDROXY METHYL ISOXAZOLE

Abstract

 Isoxazole compounds which have various pharmacological applications act as antivirus especially. It has been proved that they are effective on the cure of PARKINSON and Alzheimer disease. In present research, two kinds of isoxazole and an oxime compound have been synthesized.4-choro benzaldehyde changed into 4- chloro benzaldoxime (1) by increasing of sodium hypochlorite to hydroxylamine hydrochloride in pyridine as a solvent. The compound 1 changed to nitril oxide and [3+2] CYCLOADDITION happened by using propargyl alcohol. As a result 3- (4- chioro phenyl) -5- hydroxyl methyl isoxazole (2) was prepared. In final step, 3- (4- choro phenyl) -5- bromo methyl isoxazole (3) was prepared by reaction of Pbr3 and compound 2 in CH2Cl2. The structure of synthesized compounds were confirmed by FT-IR, 1H NMR spectrocopies.
