Title

Assessment of Restrictions on Movement Skills Spinal Injury Patients due to Traffic Accidents in Tehran Nurses Emergency Operations

Abstract

 Introduction: Emergency Medical proper functioning of the system depends on the knowledge and clinical skills in pre-hospital Emergency Nurses that are directly related to trauma. The aim at this study was to evaluate clinical skills in the field of restrictions of spinal cord injured patients is the result of Traffic Accidents. Methods: This descriptive cross-sectional study in which 100 Nurses of pre-hospital Emergency operations in four areas of Tehran were selected by Simple random sampling method. Tools for collecting data, demographic questionnaire and a self-made check list "approach to evaluating the performance evaluation of Nurses in the treatment of victims of Traffic Accidents and damage to the nervous system properly conveys the sleeping situation". Data were collected through observation and research skills by completing the tool were used. Data were analyzed by SPPS 19 and independent t test, One-way ANOVA and Pearson correlation coefficient tests. Results: The results showed that the majority of Nurses (88%) moderate clinical skills were the backbone of the restriction And carrying two injured correct transfer skills to get back on the boards (log roll) and fix the extremities (arms and legs) patients were too weak to get back on board. Demographic and clinical skills reversals between any abnormal spines was not significant. Conclusions: Although the clinical skills of Nurses in the operating limit pre-hospital spine are average but because of the importance of the skill and the consequences of incorrect transferring needs more training, especially where they are very weak.
