Abstract

Let C (K, A) denote the space of all continuous A - valued functions on the compact Hausdorff space K, where A is a commutative BANACH ALGEBRA. In this paper we show that the MAXIMAL IDEAL SPACE of C (K, A) can be identified with K ´ M, where M denotes the MAXIMAL IDEAL SPACE of A.
