Abstract

ICT has benefits, and high potential for rural development, so that the development of ICT in rural areas, leads to increased rural incomes, higher quality of life for villagers, urban and rural equality in service delivery, and increased power of villagers to influence government policy. This paper aims to investigate the role of ICT role on SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT in the rural areas. This research purpose is developmental and from point view of identity is descriptive and from point view of type is analytical research. The research population was comprised of 180 Villagers selected through a systematic random sampling method (192n =). SPSS software was used to analyze the results. The population of this research contains allrurals that have had an ICT office. The sample size was determined based on the Cochran formula. The tools used to measure research questions were a questionnaire and inetrvierws. The content and face validity of the instrument was specified after several times review and correction by the faculty of members at university and several expertise of administrative offices. The Cronbach’s alpha values for reliability analysis was conducted and for the various sections of instrument were estimated to be between 0.87 and 0.92. The results of research showed that there was a statistically significant positive relationship between social consolidation, satisfaction, social participation, employment, and responsibility, access to social services, life quality and enforcement of educational infrastructure and using of ICT services. Finally, based on the results analysis, some implications have been provided.
