SURVEYING AND DETERMINING MARIN TOURISM TOURS AND ROUTES IN PERSIAN GULF ISLANDS

Abstract

 One of the most significant current discussions in tourism is MARINE TOURISM. A package of recreation and visiting marine attractions in marine environment called MARINE TOURISM. The past decade has seen rapid developments in MARINE TOURISM, however far too little attention has been paid to Persian gulf MARINE TOURISM despite its vast historical and natural attractions. The aim of this paper is to nominate the best marine route in the area among Hormozgan state islands on the bases of standard criteria for MARINE TOURISM. The criteria are length of the route, distance between attractions, economic capacity and touristic attractions in the islands, closeness of the route to the islands, scatterings of marine attractions, marine dangers, distance to biomass marine and viewshed. The information of the area has been prepared on the bases of 8 criteria by importing the data to ARCGIS software. Three routes including: three, one-day trip routes, one three-day trip route between islands and a three-day trip route in to the sea has been determined. Analysis showed that one-day tours origins and destinations are Qeshm, Kish and Hendorabi islands and Three-day tours origins and destinations are Qeshm and Kish. The result shows most of the islands are not taking part in marine tours because of not having enough economical power.
