Abstract

The subject of FREEDOM in SUNNI POLITICAL SYSTEM within last 14 centuries with specific ups and downs has been considered by political geniuses and public. In Imamam Ali’s governance era, people had role in development, maintenance and control of political power in form of rules such as Beiat, Amre-be-maroof and Nahye-az-monkar, Shora etc. Faith and doing the mentioned rules by muslims had recognized their public and political FREEDOMs. By emergence of Umayyad dynasty, these rules were gradually forgotten, therefore public and political FREEDOMs were damaged. In this era “FREEDOM” was converted from possibility to refusal as Muslims were not familiar with public and political FREEDOM. This procedure continued in Abbaian era influenced by Iranian reign and any protest against it was considered as objection against the religion. In the late Ottoman Emperial, Muslims were faced with western civilization and the road was paved for intellectual geniuses to revise the tradition. This procedure was followed in the past 50 years and currently possibility of FREEDOM idea has been converted to the Arabs’ will with Islamic awakening beyond geniuses’ mind. Intellectual geniuses’ viewpoints (Abed Al Jaberi, Rashed Al Ghonushi, Yusof Gharzavi) and allocation of a part of Egypt constitutional law to public FREEDOMs are representations for revival of FREEDOM idea in Arabs’ will after 14 century. This was qualitative documentary research.
