Abstract

This study was conducted to find the relationship between EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE and SPIRITUAL INTELLIGENCE among Students of Imam Khomeini Marine Science University of Nowshahr in the academic year 93-94. This research method is descriptive and correlational study. The population included 1340 students of the university and according to the "Morgan" table; the sample was determined 298 students. To collect data, two standard questionnaires, including EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE 33-question Questionnaire (Siberia) and SPIRITUAL INTELLIGENCE 24-question Questionnaire (David King) were used. To determine the reliability the SPSS software (Cronbach's alpha) was used and a reliability of 0.86, showed an acceptable reliability. The results showed that there is a significant relationship between EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE and SPIRITUAL INTELLIGENCE. The relationship between EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE and SPIRITUAL INTELLIGENCE components include: marine science dimension, the self-management and self-awareness dimensions was also significant. The emotional and SPIRITUAL INTELLIGENCE of the cadets of Imam Khomeini University Ocean Science University was more than average.
