Abstract

Apprenticeship of maritime universities is planned and implemented to both educate and train various maritime skills. Having considered the significance of Education and Training in maritime universities, this study seeks for presenting needed skills model within cadet Sailing Apprenticeship. To do this, recognizing needed skills, the researcher utilized a survey method and set two types of questionnaire. The first questionnaire with open-ended items was answered by 50 maritime science specialists at interview. Imam Khomeini naval academy cadet apprenticeship was recognized while it came to consider performing cadet apprenticeship. Afterwards, ways to promote Sailing skills extracted from questionnaire presented as Educational – Training model using maritime expert viewpoints and related literature. The second questionnaire was set to distribute among 23 navy commanders and maritime experts participating in Sailing Apprenticeship program. Fried man test and Parto chart used to rank Sailing skills.
