Pages

  7-36

Abstract

The Islamic republic of Iran (IRI) neutralized the Iraq’ s Strategy for ceasefire between the two countries after occupying about 20 thousand km2 of border regions and announced to all peace delegations that the only way for the ceasefire to be accepted by Iran is “ unconditional exit of Iraqi army from Iran’ s territory” . In the same vein, Iran rejected direct negotiation with Iraq before expelling the invaders from her territory and emphasized the “ validity of treaty 1975” in international attempts. The purpose of this study is to clarify the IRI’ s strategies in terms of supporting Iraq by other countries in the imposed 8-year war and the method to exploit these strategies under possible future Threats which is conducted upon quantitative approach in applied-developmental type. The sample of the study is made up of 30 persons and the data are gathered through questionnaire, deeds and documents on desk. Consequently, to measure the impact of the mentioned Strategy during the 8 years of sacred defense and in regard with supporting the Ba’ ath party of Iraq by other countries, 22 strategies are delineated in sequence as follows: 8 military strategies, 4 socio-cultural strategies, 7 political strategies and 2 economic strategies.
