Abstract

Urban Passages network is under consideration as the backbone of city and are an important indicator to assess concepts such as sustainable urban development, smart growth and permeability index. So, how is increased the contribution of each urban units of passages and network access, Will be provided field of development from the inside. So, City passages (main & subs) is one of the elements and geographical concepts development. The purpose of present study is to compare the relative EFFICIENCY of urban areas in Ahvaz and identify the efficient area, in terms development of city passages. In the present study, Applied-analytical method was used and statistical population includes urban areas in Ahvaz (8 urban area in Ahvaz). DATA ENVELOPMENT ANALYSIS (CCR model) is used to determine the EFFICIENCY ratio of Decision Making Units (DMUs) and to distinguish efficient and inefficient Decision Making Units. For the units that are identified as efficient by DATA ENVELOPMENT ANALYSIS (CCR model), Anderson–Pearson (AP) was used. Data analysis and findings showed that areas of 8, 4, 3 and 2 Ahvaz city have been efficient DATA ENVELOPMENT ANALYSIS (in CCR model) that Final ranking Indicates prioritize options in order is Region 2, 3, 4, 8, 5, 7, 8 and 1 urban area. Finally, for offer the optimal amount of inefficient units to achieve EFFICIENCY, virtual areas were introduced as a pattern for inefficient areas. Inefficient areas will achieve EFFICIENCY if they can be promoted to achieve the conditions of their similar virtual areas.
