Abstract

Since the beginning of the creation, the human beings have applied methods for explaining their intentions, one of which is transferring meanings and intentions through versification and poems. Human beings, instead of focusing on external events and social conditions, have busied themselves with religious and LYRICAL or mythical poems. Such religious and amorous poems are called “Lyrics”, and among some nations, such dispersed poems gradually joined each other and referred to one of the main and grandest poets who play a great part in versifying them, and through this perfect LYRICAL poem collections have been versified. LYRICAL literature is one of most influential and popular kinds of literature in the Persian language. Its expansion and popularity is to such extent that one may not find a text in specific style and historical era in Persian literature which is low-colored regarding applying LYRICAL features. Two characters of the lover and the beloved are very colorful in most LYRICAL and mythical poem collections of the Persian language; they play significant role in finding ways to reach one another. The present paper intends to examine the LYRICAL tale of ZAL & Rudabeh as well as the story of KHOSROW & Shirin to provide answer to this question: “What are SPIRITUAL FEATUREs of LOVERS in mythical and LYRICAL poem collections? ”. To find answers, we have analyzed ZAL & KHOSROW’s SPIRITUAL FEATUREs in those mentioned poem collections.
