Abstract

Regarding the fact that Sanaei is both a poet and a Sufi and a sage, one can examine his literary works from three distinctive viewpoints of Mystical, Literary & Philosophical ones. His works such as SEIR AL-IBAD Ela Al-Ma’ad & Hadigheh as well as His Compiled Poetry and Masnavis including SEIR AL-IBAD Ela Al-Ma’ad with 770 Bayts were versified by the meter of Hadighegh.His mystical Masnavi “Seir Al-Ibad Ela Al-Ma’ad” presents the creation of Adam, various types of souls and Aqls as well as ethical and moral guidelines and also the spiritual journey of human being from the earthly life up to the divine life. In such journey, Aql (reason) or the REASONable soul is the guide for human soul. This spiritual journey consists of a journey in human soul, four elements, nine heavens, and getting familiar with their qualities and attributes, and eventually reaching the universal REASON and spirit and being immersed in it. This journey is indeed those seven phases of Sufism to reach God, the truth.Regarding the mastery of mysticism in this period, it has triumph over REASON and intellect. Sanaei used poetry for serving piety and mysticism.
