Abstract

Neumerous Mathnavies (long pieces of poem) have remained from Ghasemi Hoseini Gonabadi, and the total lines of his poems are more than thirty five thousands. His poetry includes epics, lyrics and moral poetry. Although his eloquent and witty poems helped him stand above his contemporaries his work has not been taken into serious consideration.Based on some new findings, this study introduces and examines Ghasemi's works including nine Mathnavies and three pieces of PROSE. Some of his lesser works have been discussed as well. He has composed a Mathnavi for the governor of Diyaar Bakr following the meter of Shahanshaah Naameh. He is also said to have written a Diwan of poems, of which no copy was found in the Iranian, Indian and European sources.
