Abstract

Considering the importance of Political Participation of Student-Teachers, the aim of this study was to evaluate factors such as the students’ Adherence to Religious Beliefs and Non-Academic Study on their Political Participation. All Student-Teachers in Salman college of Shiraz Farhangian university were the statistical population of the research., the number of samples was decided to be 196 through using the table of krè ches and Morgan. Because of the number of Student-Teachers entrances in years 2012 & 2013, stratified random sampling was used. Questionnaire was used to collect data, and its validity and reliability was analyzed and approved. In analyzing data, Pearson and ANOVA correlation coefficient and descriptive statistics in SPSS were used. Results showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between the level of Adherence to Religious Beliefs and Political Participation of Student-Teachers; there was also a significant and positive relationship between the level of Non-Academic Study and Political Participation of Student-Teachers.
