Abstract

KHAJEH ABD-ALLAH-I-ANSARI"s Tafsir(Interpretation) is his most valuable work the complete text of which is, so far, non-existent. Only parts of this text may be recovered by consulting some references. Kashf-al-Asrar and uddah-al- Abrar of Meibodi, the great mystic and interpreter of the late fifth and early sixth centuries (A.H.) contains parts of this text. This article has a quick glance at this part of Meibodi"s book, that is, all those passages directly quoted from Ansari"s or those sections stated in such a way one may ascertain them as Ansari"s. This study reveals that Meibodi has brought only a modest part of Ansari"s book in Kashf-al-Asrar and there he calls his source" Ansari"s book on the interpretation of the Quoran", that is, Tafsir, a fact which suggests that Ansari"s book must not have had a name different from Tafsir.
